AUDIO SPACE - A JOURNEY TO MUSIC UP YOUR LIFE

Why Vacuum Tube Amplifier?

Vacuum tube amplifiers have always been the amplifier of choice for the working musician and their superb sound quality have always been recognized. Musical myth has ascribed almost magical tone to them. While the results may not be entirely magic, tubes do have a sound that is different from solid state amplifiers, and one that happens to make amplified music sound better to the human ears and brain.

In the early 80s, the invention of digital recordings in the form of CDs, MDs, etc. has gradually led to the fading out of such form of traditional recording as turntable records and analogue audio tapes. Yet some audiophiles reckon that the sound so reproduced by these digital recordings is rather rigid and artificial. With the use of tube amplifier, many agree that the reproduced music sounds much smoother and natural, particularly in terms of ambience, hall depth effects, instrument separation, human voice and harmonics.

The real reason to use tube amps is therefore simply that they sound better.
AUDIO SPACE - MAJOR PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS:

1. Mainly uses stainless steel for the amplifier cabinet and aluminium or bronze as the front panel. All such metal materials have to undergo the pH and thermo tests which ensure that they will not be easily oxidized and discolored.

2. Adopting the gravity-centroid balancing design in order to reduce the distortion caused by the mechanic vibration while it operates.

3. The outlook design is a combination of aestheticism and pragmatism. Easy to keep it tidy and clean by using the car wax and a dry cloth to wipe it lightly.

4. Most models are designed in such a way that the input terminal is very close to the first level of amplification, which in turn reduces the transmission loss and interference.

5. Design with extraordinary high level of capacitance, thus reducing the incidence of sound distortion caused by the increasing temperature of the transformer.

6. Adopt a unique pressurizing and aging test for quality control, e.g. adjust the power voltage by +/-10%, and operate continuously for 12 hours under full power or half power mode, so as to ensure that the amplifier operates normally and stably even under severe conditions as high temperature and high pressure, high loaded voltage, etc. Destructive test (e.g. short circuit, unloading, continuously switching on and off the power or turning ultralinear / triode selector, unplug the tubes without power off, etc.) and simulated jounce amidst transit are also taken to find out the relevant precautionary measures to reduce the possibility of damage due to misuse by end-users.

7. In the course of testing and sound adjustment, our amplifiers use speakers system with relatively lower efficiency as reference, such as B&W801 & 802, ATC-10, ATC-20, PROAC 2.5 & 3.5, Rogers 3/5A & 5/9A. Hence, most amplifiers can easily drive most speakers system available in the market.

8. Our line amplifiers are equipped with delayed protective circuit and designed to reduce the output impedance as far as possible. Customers can match these line amplifiers with other vacuum tube amplifiers or transistor amplifiers in the market with ease.

9. The design of power amplifier is mainly with high input impedance (over 100ohm). Thus our power amplifiers can easily be matched with other vacuum tube amplifiers or transistor amplifiers available in the market.

10. Valves are exposed outside the amplifier to enable customer to change other foreign or famous valves easily.

11. Socket for the power is separated with the power cord, thus customer can change any other high-end audio power cord if he wishes.

12. The unique design of circuitry leads to an ultimate quietness and achieves high S/N as solid state amplifiers.
